Altec Drivers buy

My dear friends i have the chance to buy 2 pairs of altec 515(dont know the model),2 511 horns plus 2 908 drivers. Are this nice drivers? How much money they worth for me to make an offer. What box chould i use with them (A something???) Were can i get sckematics for it ?Is there someone making this boxes?
Me as a collector and hifi freak have on my sistem now a pair of Fostex FE208ES-r (8" alnico grey cone drivers) plus the T500Amk2 tweeters. The sound is nice. But so much have been said on Altecs Jensens and Westrexs that ide love to have a piece of that part of history.

Hi jonny,

It all depends on the condition, the model, and again, the condition. From a worst case of everything needing rebuilt to all matching drivers in great shape, you could go from $500 or less to $2000 or more for all those components.

If the 515s were all "b"s, the combo would be a very near match for GM's system. Two 515b each in large but fairly simple boxes, with the horns sitting on top, and as simple as a slightly tweaked N501 network that can be easily had.
